We’re currently looking for a FT Draftsperson to join our hard-working team based in our Adelaide office. Reporting to our Estimating & Drafting Manager, you’ll be responsible for supporting our construction team, product development, display program and production drafting. For this role, we need someone with ArchiCad experience.

A week in the life –

• Production of drawings using ArchiCad including site plans, floor plans, elevations, internal elevations, details and sections, shadow and overlooking diagrams
• Carrying out variations to existing drawings
• Quality control to ensure all drawings are completed with 100% accuracy to reflect client contractual documents, regulatory requirements and Burbank standards within agreed time frames
• Providing drawings and documentation for tenders, masters, contracts, council lodgements and site purposes
• Identifying cost effective and build-able solutions to all designs
• Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations and design guidelines

What we’ll need from you –

• A Diploma of Drafting, Design or related qualification
• Demonstrated experience in drafting, preferably within a volume building environment - advantageous
• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD/ArchiCAD
• Demonstrated knowledge of NCC Building Regulations, rescode and Australian standards in residential construction – advantageous
• An ability to communicate effectively and work within a team
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• A proactive and innovative approach to problem solving
• An understanding of the construction process, terminology and documentation - advantageous
