Stylecraft is a market leader in the supply of original, contemporary furniture. The Stylecraft collection of furniture and lighting is suitable for commercial, government, education, hospitality and residential spaces across Australia and throughout Asia. Based in the Melbourne CBD, this is a unique and exciting opportunity to join our Product & Marketing Team.
Reporting to the Brand Director, the Product Development role’s key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the below;
- Key liaison between overseas suppliers and local manufacturers
- Collate, review and dispense technical information internally and externally
- Source quotes / procure components required for local components while maintaining focus on budget and pricing requirements
- Ensure product launch targets are met
- Generate Navision descriptions/entries as required
- Advise sales staff of developments and assist with requests
- Provide product training as required with new and existing staff
- Preparation of sales notes/training guides as required
- Assist the Brand Director with new product development for Stylecraft. This may include utilising new or existing furniture designers/brands or developing concepts for release under the Stylecraft brand
- Identify new manufacturing partners and complete due diligence to ensure they are capable of functioning as a valued partner to Stylecraft
- Assist with custom design solutions, as required
- Ensure the product selection displayed in the showrooms is indicative of Stylecraft's strategic direction
- Assist with the selection of showroom samples, including model types and finishes
- Assist with floor plans and documentation/placement of products for individual showrooms
To be successful in this role, previous industry experience is essential with the following key skills and requirements:
- Industrial Design tertiary qualifications, or relevant industry experience
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong time management, planning and organisational skills
- Excellent communicator with the ability to multi-task
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD & Microsoft Office
- Knowledge and interest in the architecture and design community
- Creative flair and passion for design
