About us
We are offering this opportunity to work with a diverse and talented all-Revit practice. This is a new permanent role based in the Melbourne CBD.
We are a 7 person team currently, with approximately 40 current projects ranging in size up to $25 million.
Known for our problem-solving, customer service and design skills, our practice is an excellent place to become involved in a wide range of projects of diverse types. We particularly specialise in socially engaged project types, and not for profit and local government clients.
The Role Description
We are looking for a Mid-Senior Project Architect (10 plus years experience minimum, Registered), specifically to lead the Documentation, Contract Administration and Delivery of a range of current and emerging projects. Experience in the educational, residential (multi- and single) and public sectors will be highly regarded, as will experience with adaptive reuse of heritage and non-heritage buildings. Experience in the delivery of complex projects in other sectors will also be considered.
You will be a seasoned documenter and contract administrator, and someone with an understanding of how clearly articulated design ideas are safeguarded through the process of documentation and delivery. This is a crucial design function in our practice.
Prior experience working with socially engaged clients and not-for-profit organisations will be looked on favourably.
Previous experience with the execution of ABIC contracts is essential.
Skills & experience
To be considered for the role, you will possess the following attributes:
- Architectural registration;
- Have experience in leading the delivery of projects up to $30 million as superintendent/project architect (lead);
- Have excellent personal Revit skills and thorough examples of past documentation you have produced and coordinated as team leader and/or participant;
- Have strong design translation abilities and great communication skills with builders of all sizes, consultants, suppliers, clients and colleagues.
