Graphic / Signage Designer / Prepress
Sign Express is highly specialised and reputable signage design and manufacturing company based in Melbourne's South East. We design, manage, manufacture and install signage projects both at a state and national level, and have an exciting opportunity with an immediate start for a graphic designer who is eager to see their work progress from concept through to completion.
You will be working alongside the rest of our creative team in a fast-paced environment where questions and knowledge-sharing is encouraged. Our close-knit group encompasses people from all walks of life and levels of experience, all of whom are happy to fill in the gaps in your knowledge if you have the right attitude and skillset. You will be responsible for producing artwork for presentation to the client, full production drawings for the factory, and all production files for the various departments.
The successful candidate is expected to have:
- A minimum of 5 years design experience in a relevant signage design or pre-press position, preceded by a tertiary design qualification
- A strong understanding of signage manufacturing concepts and methodology, materials and set-up of files for the various departments (print, vinyl, router etc.)
- Ability to multitask and work at a swift pace under pressure, both to meet deadlines and also make on-the-spot corrections and changes when required
- A positive attitude toward work and improving skillsets
- A high level of proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (with particular focus on Illustrator)
- Ability to work with a PC system
- An attention to detail and strong communication skills
- An understanding of how to adhere to strict marketing and style guidelines when needed by corporate clients
- The ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
