One of Melbourne's most highly regarded and award winning building companies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Draftsperson with exemplary skills in drafting and design to join its professional team.

You will work alongside the design and construction team on a day to day basis and be responsible for all final design documentation and building details.

The ideal candidate will have a proven record producing concept plans, town planning drawings, 3D presentation work and be able to produce high quality working drawings for extensions and renovations.

You will also be proficient:

• In ArchiCAD (preferred) and 3D rendering skills
• Have sound construction knowledge in the extension and renovation sector
• Have a strong understanding of BCA and standard regulations
• Strong understanding of ResCode, planning regulations and the town planning process
• Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy

You will be a team player and have high level communication skills as well as excellent skills in drafting and 3D Modelling are essential.

Day to day duties will see you working closely with Building Design Consultants on concept plans and 3D renderings, producing accurate town planning / working drawings and taking responsibility for your own projects in an efficient manner.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or higher qualification

• Conducting accurate site measures and documentation
• Proficient in the use of Archi-CAD (preferred)
• Proficient generating 3D renderings within Archi-CAD
• Strong knowledge of Building Siting Regulations (Res-code)
• Well-developed detailing, documentation and project co- ordination skills
• Ability to work as part of a team but also independently with limited supervision
• Excellent team player
• Strong command of the English language
