Due to our continued growth a new and exciting opportunity exists for a Claims Officer to join our fast paced Claims Processing team located in Mulgrave on a full time basis.

The Role: 

Our growing and fast paced claims team locted in Mulgrave is looking for dedicated person for a fixed term full time position. 

In this role you will ensure that all claims are processed most accurately and meticulously to qualify for payments from OHS and ensure that payment rejections are kept from minimum to negligible to enable NHC’s inflow of income. Experience in Office Administration and Data Processing is advantageous but not essential.

You will need: 

  • Data Entry and Processing claims for payment accurately and on a timely basis
  • Recording information into the NHC database
  • Reconciling accounts and statements
  • Sorting incoming claims
  • Assisting clinic based staff with queries
  • Handling manual payment claims
  • Carrying out background checks to enable processing
  • Following up on outstanding claims
  • Other general administration duties

What our successful candidate looks like:

  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role
  • Outstanding time management and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail with strong numeracy skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Intermediate computer knowledge/skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Ability to work under pressure & in a fast paced environment
  • Experience in Office Administration and Data Processing is advantageous but not essential
