About Us

WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA) is the peak planning and commissioning body for primary health care services in Western Australia (WA).  We oversee the strategic commissioning functions WA's three Primary Health Networks: Perth North, Perth South and Country WA.  WAPHA's primary objective is to improve health outcomes and patient experiences through the commissioning of appropriate services where they are most needed.

The role

The Regional Coordination Support Officer is responsible for coordinating education, events, meetings, minutes and agendas for the Mid West region of the Country PHN.

Under the guidance of the Regional Manager this position works with WAGPET to provide administrative support for the GP vocational training program implementation in the Mid West.  

Some key tasks include:

  • Provide administrative support to the WAGPET vocational training program in the Mid West in the role of Regional Executive Officer (REO).
  • Provide executive support to the Regional Clinical Commissioning Committee.
  • Organise and set up venues for all WAGPET and regional PHN events.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders related to planning and organisation of regional events, WAGPET educational activities, Regional Clinical Commissioning Committee meetings and Digital Health working group.
  • Assist Primary Health Liaison Officer in planning and organising regional events and meetings.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, public information and presentations relating to regional events, Regional Clinical Commissioning Committee and Digital Health working group.
  • Process purchase orders and the payment of invoices associated with regional events and the Regional Clinical Commissioning Committee.
  • Organise and coordinate arrangements for meetings, events, programs and presentations, including catering and video conference set up.

About you

The successful candidate will meet the following selection criteria:

  • Expertise and experience in event coordination and administrative support for educational programs and governance committees.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve objectives.
  • Demonstrated planning and organisational skills including the ability to manage a diverse workload in a demanding environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Demonstrated initiative and attention to detail.
  • High level of computer literacy included proficiency in Microsoft Office;

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working within a health or community based organisation.
  • Qualification in event management and executive administration.
