The Australian Sports Foundation is a not for profit whose role is to raise private, philanthropic and corporate funds to support the development of sport in Australia. We believe that sport is part of the Aussie culture, and is embedded in our national DNA. We believe in the power of sport to bring diverse cultures and communities together, to improve physical and mental health, and to teach important life skills, like teamwork, discipline and resilience.

We work with athletes, schools and clubs – from the smallest grassroots and community clubs, right through to our professional, national and Olympic teams - to raise funds for hundreds of projects a year. These projects help improve the health of our nation, build our communities and strengthen our national sporting identity. 

Since 1986 we have helped raise nearly $400m for Australian sport, and by 2021 our target is to raise $100m annually and to benefit thousands of clubs, schools and athletes each year.

This role will be for an initial 6 month contract and could be full or part-time (min 3 days a week) to suit. As Administrative Assistant, your job will be to support our Sports Partnership Managers (SPM's) by:

1.  Monitoring and checking all incoming “leads” (clubs or athletes commencing our online registration process)

2.  Contacting those leads by phone and/or email to provide assistance as required to smooth and speed up the registration process;

3.  Checking all completed applications and supporting documentation to ensure it is complete and meets our requirements prior to final review and “go-live” approval from the SPM;

4.  Providing ad hoc administrative support to help SPM’s manage their portfolios of clubs and athletes;

5. Maintain and update data records of clubs and athletes in our Salesforce CRM system.

6. Provide additional administrative support as required by SPM’s or other team members.

You will possess the following qualities and experience:

  • Friendly and professional phone manner;
  • Microsoft Office skills: Outlook, Word, Excel;
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (especially Salesforce) an advantage
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Well organised, with an ability to prioritize and multi-task in a busy office;
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in an administrative or support role;
  • Strong and proven work ethic, proactive attitude, and the ability to work well in a team
  • High level of Customer Service
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • A true interest in and/or passion for sport, either as a participant or spectator

3 days per week but flexible for the right candidate. Opportunity for a permanent position on expiry of initial contract.
