We are currently looking to hire a Warehouse Safety Coordinator based in our Dandenong South National DC in a newly created position to manage all safety and administrative tasks within the company Australia wide.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the National Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
- Coordinate monthly Health and safely meetings
- Review actions and outcomes for safety in the warehouse
- Help coordinate and provide content for regular tool box talks
- Maintain and update health and safety registers
- Coordinate training for warehouse staff
- Developing SOP’s as required
- performing ricks assessments with actions and follow up
- Creating JSA’s
- Develop and maintain safety related metrics
- Any ad hoc duties as requested by operations and warehouse managers
Successful applicant:
- Tertiary education or related course in safety warehousing or OHS (a minimum of cert 4 in safety, understanding safety principles and implementation) is essential.
- Preferably have experience in safety related warehousing environment
- Must have a strong safety focus and understands near miss/incident reporting and incident investigation
- Excellent communication both written and verbal across different levels
- Organisational and administrate skills
- Time management and ability to prioritise work is essential for this role
