We are currently looking to hire a Warehouse Safety Coordinator based in our Dandenong South National DC in a newly created position to manage all safety and administrative tasks within the company Australia wide.

 

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the National Operations Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinate monthly Health and safely meetings
  • Review actions and outcomes for safety in the warehouse
  • Help coordinate and provide content for regular tool box talks
  • Maintain and update health and safety registers
  • Coordinate training for warehouse staff
  • Developing SOP’s as required
  • performing ricks assessments with actions and follow up
  • Creating JSA’s
  • Develop and maintain safety related metrics
  • Any ad hoc duties as requested by operations and warehouse managers

Successful applicant:

  • Tertiary education or related course in safety warehousing or OHS (a minimum of cert 4 in safety, understanding safety principles and implementation) is essential.
  • Preferably have experience in safety related warehousing environment
  • Must have a strong safety focus and understands near miss/incident reporting and incident investigation
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal across different levels 
  • Organisational and administrate skills
  • Time management and ability to prioritise work is essential for this role
