The team

The Facilities team ensures that every office is a #beautiful working environment for our staff. As Front of House Assistant you will be part of the Global Facilities team, you will be based in our Melbourne office and report in to our Head of Facilities for Australia and South East Asia.

What you will do

  • Maintain a beautiful and well-stocked working environment for our staff.
  • Provide a helpful and welcoming experience for our staff and all visitors to Xero
  • Liaise with staff and external contractors, such as cleaners, to ensure quality results with minimal disruption.
  • Triage tickets via zendsk to the team
  • Organise travel and accommodation for staff following Xero’s policy and procedures.
  • Assist with processing invoices related to Facilities team activities.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, organise couriers, and distribute mail to staff.
  • Help and support the Facilities team achieve regional and global strategies.

What you’ll bring to the role

To be successful in this role you will you will have excellent communication skills (to effectively manage stakeholder expectations) combined with outstanding organisational abilities and a keen eye for detail. You anticipate emerging needs and are comfortable working in a fast paced office environment. A lively, engaging and results focused people person suits the role well.

You will take pride in delivering first class customer service, to ensure every customer, internal and external, whether in person or over the phone, receives the Xero experience - no matter the amount of tasks you have going at one time.

Previous experience should include;

  • Front of house and reception functions within a service based industry.
  • Carrying out facilities support services within a fast paced, ever changing office environment would be advantageous.
  • Experience learning and mastering new software systems, experience with Zendesk would be beneficial but not essential
  • Experience within a team-based environment working with a diverse range of backgrounds.
