We currently have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and capable Demand Planner to join our Sales & Operations Planning team. This is a great opportunity to join SPC during a transformation period and make a tangible contribution to the growth of SPC.

The Role

Reporting to the Sales & Operations Planning Manager the role of the Demand Planner is to Facilitate demand planning activities across assigned product portfolio & channels in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

This is a key role within the business and we are seeking an experienced and professional candidate to bring insight, innovation and inspiration to your work, whilst delivering high quality outcomes in a fast paced and results driven environment.

The scope of the role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Create and maintain forecast models, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from internal & external sources
  • Demand integration point into the Marketing, Sales and Finance functions across the S&OP process
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool
  • Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process
  • Identify and lead the continuous improvement of demand management practices

To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Degree qualification in a Business, Engineering or Science discipline and preferably an external Supply chain qualification (APICS or similar).
  • 1-3 years in supply chain planning roles in a fast moving, local manufacturing environment, preferably consumer goods industry, where very long supply lead times are a constraint
  • Knowledge of DynaSys, MFGPro, QAD or other ERP and demand planning software is preferred. Very strong Microsoft Excel skills. Tableau skills will be highly rated.
  • Experience with implementing and facilitating S&OP/IBP principles and practices
  • Proven stakeholder management skills at all levels
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Desire to influence and facilitate change management in a challenging environment

This role is based in Melbourne, Victoria. The successful applicant is required to hold a valid Australian Divers licence.
