Volvo Group Australia has an exciting new opportunity for a creative and diligent Business Support Manager to join Volvo Commercial Vehicles Townsville, the home of iconic brands Mack, UD and Volvo Trucks. You will be responsible for leading a small team ensuring the administration function across three Dealerships is efficiently and professionally managed. 

This is a challenging role requiring high ethical standards, business acumen and proven leadership skills. Reporting directly to the Dealer Principal, this is an excellent career opportunity for the successful applicant to join the North Queensland (NQ), Northern Territory (NT) Management team and to grow their career in a global business located in Townsville.

About the role:

  • Coordinate all forecasts and presentations for Cairns, Darwin and Townsville’s' sales, expenses, profit forecasts and inventory projections by location
  • Prepare Presentations for business review, tenders to various business leaders, department heads and other relevant stakeholders as required
  • Responsible for the coordination of sales and aftersales processes including preparation for ISO 9001 And 14001 audits 
  • Strong involvement in the NQ and NT business planning process converting actions to values and ensuring consistency across the region
  • Review of profit and loss and balance sheet and ensuring that operational issues are correctly represented in the correct time period for correct value by working closely with business control and operational personnel in the dealerships
  • Review of cost structures and cost drivers and staffing complements and added value inputs
  • Administer and check the region's incentive and bonus calculations monthly
  • Assist all branch operations in their day to day financial and quality compliance activities
  • Assist in resolving day to day operational issues and customer concerns within the NQ and NT dealerships
  • Responsible for ensuring that the customer vehicle files are complete and work is completed efficiently by the sales coordinators 
  • Co-ordination of all marketing activities for the region
  • Responsible for overseeing the CM database and ensuring that reporting of activities is complete
  • Administer the Return to Work Coordinator process and Wellness Programs across the region.

About you:

  • Diploma in Business or Finance desirable however extensive work experience in field may be considered
  • Demonstrated experience in creating digital marketing material
  • Strong financial background, including internal audit process ideally gained in a Dealership environment
  • Sound Microsoft Office knowledge and previous experience engaging and presenting to small teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Effective time and management skills, self-disciplined and motivated, proven personal and commercial integrity
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to influence and negotiate
  • Flexible approach to work commitments to efficiently complete end-of-month/year reporting
  • Consistently demonstrate exceptional customer service.
