We are looking for an experienced contracts administrator who will be able to support our administration team on a project basis. You will act as the main point of contact who will be responsible for the successful management and execution of contracts on behalf of our organisation.
Client Details
Our client is a locally owned construction company who is responsible for several projects state wide with a nationally recognised background. To support their growing operations, an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Administrator to join the project has become available for a 6-month period.
Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ability to know the ins and outs of a contract and ensure all sides adhere to its specific terms, conditions, rights and obligations.
- Coordinate any changes that may transpire, and ensure these changes are agreed upon by all involved.
- Perform closeout processes to ensure that the contract has been ended in the appropriate manner.
- Track various transactions and maintain appropriate records in the responsible systems.
- Maintain all records related to the contracting of vendors and receipt of materials and services.
- Interpret contract terms in order to resolve disagreements between the parties.
- Negotiate and draft contracts for materials and services from vendors to complete a project.
Profile
To be considered for this position you will need to have:
- Attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies
- Excellent reading and language comprehension
- Ability to work with a team at all levels of an organisation
- Effective ability to negotiate and execute contracts
- Proven management and leadership skills
- Exceptional communication both verbally and written
- Highly proficient in MS Office suite with the ability to take initiative when it comes to new systems
