About the business

Australian Payments Network (AusPayNet) is the self-regulatory body and industry association set up by the Australian payments industry to improve the safety, reliability, equity, convenience and efficiency of payment systems in Australia. AusPayNet has around 130 members, such as banks, building societies and credit unions, as well as major retailers and other financial institutions and service providers.

About the role

We are seeking a pro-active and professional person to join our team as Corporate Receptionist.  As Receptionist your primary role is to ensure the smooth running of front of house including assisting with phone and email enquiries, coordination and management of meeting rooms and bookings, as well as assisting with a variety of administrative tasks. You must be well presented, articulate in your communication and the type of person who can work autonomously with a proactive and 'can-do' attitude.

As the face of the office you will liaise with all internal and external stakeholders, including high level V.I.P's.  Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
 

  • Greeting all clients and visitors with a corporate, polished presentation.
  • Maintenance, management and coordination of the meeting rooms, including setting up for different styles of meetings/events and arrangement of catering.
  • Attending to all calls and emails that come through to reception.
  • Ensuring a high standard of presentation is maintained throughout the office and lunch room.
  • Processing of incoming and outgoing daily mail.
  • Maintenance and management of office products and stationery supplies.
  • Diary management and coordination of member meetings.
  • Performing data entry, receipt keeping, maintenance of petty cash and reconciliation of credit cards and CabCharges.
  • Other ad hoc administration tasks as required.


 

Skills and experience

  • Experience as a Corporate Receptionist is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Discretion in relation to confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative in problem solving and in exercising judgement.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, organisation, and time management skills, with attention to detail.
