The Opportunity:

Due to increased critical workloads in a critical program managed by this national peak body, numerous opportunities exist for 10 x Customer Service Officers to commence immediately. This is an opportunity for seasoned university students to apply their writing and analysis skills or for junior administrators to take the next step in their career. Strong performers will be offered longer-term contracts beyond their initial engagement should there be the ability to do so.

The Role:

Working in a team committed to excellence through program delivery, you will work in an incredibly and supportive team. Based in a central Canberra location, you will be one of 10 new staff appointed to clear a back-log of work. Duties will include, but not be limited to:-

  • Timely and accurate processing of applications for payment for programs;
  • Provide customer service support for existing customers, including information on claiming and payments and second line support for the a help line;
  • Where necessary provide customer service support to potential program applicants, including information on program guidelines, eligibility and how to register and apply;
  • Provide administrative support to the whole team and wider organisation when required.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with all staff;
  • Contribute to team activities;
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders as required.

The Person:

To be considered you will have demonstrated administration experience or alternatively, significant analysis and communication skills that you’ve applied to tertiary studies. In addition you will be able to start almost immediately in a short-term contract role (1 month initially) and be able to work effectively within a team. Skills and attributes you’ll require include:-

  • CRM experience (Salesforce, Oracle, SAP etc.) would be highly advantageous of at a minimum be highly proficient with MS Office Suite (Word and Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
  • Strong customer service and problem solving skills
  • Great time management and initiative
  • Exceptional team work and commitment
  • Strong attention to detail

The Salary:

An hourly rate of $30 per hour + 9.5% superannuation will be offered to the successful candidate.

*Please note, this includes casual leave loading in lieu of annual and sick leave.
