What do we do?
The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH) was established to provide a coordinated and integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of primary health care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the South East Qld Region. The IUIH is a lead agency working in partnership with key stakeholders to support the effective implementation of the Council of Australian Governments ‘Closing the Gap’ initiatives.

This role: The position will provide customer service and administrative support to assist the effective daily operation of designated MATSICHS programs; including Home Support, ANFP Program, Northside Transport, PiR, IUIH Connect and CTG teams to assist them to meet their business objectives.
The position will be responsible for:
- Provision of general reception duties as required including booking of rooms for external partner organisations
- Manage all calls to the 1800 number, including incoming call, confirmation calls and referrals
- Perform with limited supervision a broad range of administrative support functions including organising forms, photocopies, files, orders, program materials and educational handouts; and make reminder calls
- Maintain accurate and confidential records and statistics of daily activities
- Complete general clerical functions such as sorting, distributing mail, and typing etc.
- Make full use of computerised data entry equipment and various word processing, spreadsheet and file maintenance programs to enter, store and/or retrieve information
- Communicate effectively with health and social health services, government and non-government agencies or other organisations in an appropriate manner that assists ANFP Program staff and clients
- Provision of general administration support for all designated team; including photocopying, compilation of materials/folders, preparation for conferences and meetings and shredding
- Provide support for Finance paperwork by collating all accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Provide general word processing duties including typing letters, agendas, minutes and reports
- Assist with accurate and timely booking of all conference, travel and accommodation needs
- Undertake stationary stocktake and process stationary orders
- Ensure effective waste removal from the office
- Certificate III or IV in Business or equivalent experience
- Minimum two years’ experience in office/administration roles
- National Police Clearance
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence (QLD)
- Current First Aid or willingness to obtain
