Based in the Northern Suburbs, Dominic College is a co-educational Catholic School which provides outstanding educational opportunities for students from Kindergarten to Year 10. With 960 students currently enrolled, the College prides itself on providing a high level of teaching and learning opportunities for all of their students. With the support of a committed team, Dominic College is looking for a highly capable Compliance and Administration Officer to join their team on a permanent full-time basis.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Compliance and Resources Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the overall compliance and safety requirements of the College. The position also requires the successful candidate to provide broader administration support in various areas including covering the front office in busy periods.
These tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Actively contribute to developing the College’s safety culture, WHS focus and legislative compliance.
- Maintain registers and databases concerning compliance and WHS matters for staff and students.
- Assist with evaluating sites for approval for student learning experiences.
- Oversee the risk management process and support staff in documentation for excursions and field studies.
- Manage the College’s building and maintenance contracts.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the school community, including parents/guardians, caregivers and volunteers, to enhance student outcomes.
- Provide administrative support to the Colleges Health and Safety Committee.
- Actively contribute to developing fit for work and wellbeing programs for College staff.
- Undertake broader administration duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate the following:
Essential Requirements:
- You will be able to plan and organise workflow to meet strict deadlines.
- Adaptability, initiative and the ability to think ahead.
- Ability to work well under pressure, balancing competing demands and interruptions.
Desirable Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or relevant qualification.
The successful candidate will also be required to obtain a satisfactory and current National Police Check, Working with Vulnerable People Check and First-Aid Certificate.
