About the role

Based in Nunawading and reporting to the Promotions Planning Manager, the role is critical in ensuring the objective of the Merchandise Department are supported as well as the initiatives that drive the business for all category strategies. The role will also assist with any day to day functions of the Merchandise Team as directed by the Promotions Planning Manager, Product Category Manager, National Product Manager and / or General Manager Merchandise.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support as required for the Merchandise Department
  • Provide information to help with the execution of the category business plans to include tasks such as :
    • Obtaining competitor intelligence on ranging and pricing
    • Provide range data and reports
    • Communication with store and supplier network
    • Maintenance of Supplier Agreements
    • Rebate data entry and reporting
  • Assist with the catalogue promotional process to include tasks such as :
    • Product data entry
    • Proof reading of catalogues and promotional point of sale material
    • Develop and coordinate catalogue store order notes
    • Communication with key internal stakeholders – marketing, sales, pricing
    • Provide catalogue sell through data

 

  Key skills required:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office for Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong written / verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise, deliver to tight deadlines and thrive in a challenging environment
  • High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience working within a Merchandise / administration environment preferred
