The Urban Development Consulting Division of SMEC employs professional staff including Civil Engineers, Surveyors, Town Planners, Urban Designers and Master Planners, Landscape Architects and Project Managers. We provide integrated consulting services needed to plan, design, construct and manage projects from concept to completion.

The role

Reporting to the Office Manager and working collaboratively to deliver administration services to our team, we are seeking a mature minded talented Administration Assistant to undertake administrative activities that contribute to the effective and efficient management of our Campbelltown office. 

Suitable applicants will ideally have/be:

  • Success in a similar administrative role that included responsibility for front-of-house, reception and administration tasks
  • Excellent time management, organisational and administration skills
  • Intermediate MS Office and computer skills
  • The ability to work independently, pro-actively and use your own initiative
  • Approximately 2 years’ professional experience, ideally in an engineering consultancy or similar environment (e.g. construction or professional services)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment
  • Certificate in Business Administration preferred

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support to all staff
  • Organising meetings & greeting clients
  • Boardroom coordination
  • Assisting reception
  • Incoming & outgoing mail
  • Stationery orders
  • Banking
  • Filing/scanning/binding
  • Administration for new project set up as well as new quote set up
