  • Full time - Maximum-term role (38 hours per week)
  • Location: South East Sydney district  (Base location can be negotiated within the Sydney City, Inner West, Sydney East or Sydney South West Area).
  • The conditions of employment are governed by the Social Community Home Care & Disability Services Award (SCHCADS) and this position is classified as Level 4.

About the Service

The Society has been commissioned to deliver essential Local Area Coordination (LAC) services as part of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) rollout in NSW.  The Society’s work in Local Area Coordination involves:

  • Assisting individuals, families, carers and communities to access information on the NDIS.
  • Providing information to individuals, families and carers to identify their goals, strengths and needs, and plan for their future.
  • Supporting individuals, families and carers to identify personal and local community networks to develop necessary supports and solutions to meet their goals and needs.
  • Supporting, assisting and consulting with individuals and families accessing the LAC Program in a way that promotes independence, empowerment and involvement.

The Role

We are seeking a highly professional and friendly Data entry Administration Officer to provide efficient support to the local management of Local Area Coordination (LAC) program.

As successful applicant, you will provide a range of administrative support functions. Your role will require flexibility and offer a broad range of diversity. The successful candidate will be responsible for data entry, updating reports and also have very good skills using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

  • Working closely with Data Analyst on collection, processing and reporting of data
  • Execute daily reports such as; the number of new people entered into the NDIS inbox, number of reassignments back to NDIA, appointments held and plans sent to NDIA
  • Ensuring all relevant data is input, recorded is up to date and accurate in line with the NDIS business system procedure
  • Liaise with district staff to reconcile data, identify data and efficiently and systematically process data
  • Support the Senior Operations Manager, Data Analyst and other key personnel with the implementation of identified priorities
  • Participation in, but not restricted to, staff meetings, planning, activities, work groups and all activities that enhance the team work approach of the LAC program
  • Being available regular office hours, Monday to Friday 
  • Providing a range of other administrative support functions
  • Maintenance of day to day operations of local office sites and resources as needed

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Experience in data management and processing
  • Excellent computer skills and competence
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent MS Excel proficiency
  • Well-developed analytic thinking skills
  • Ability to organise own workload to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills 
  • Willingness to work within the philosophy and ethos of the Society
  • Experience working with client records/management systems' and demonstrated capabilities in data warehousing is desirable
  • Lived experience of disability will be highly regarded.
