Youth Focus, Western Australia's leading youth suicide prevention organisation is seeking an experienced Receptionist/Administration Assistant to join its dynamic, professional and passionate team on a full-time basis.

What’s involved?

The Receptionist/Administration Assistant acts as a first point of contact for new, current, and potential clients as well as other external stakeholders such as agencies, schools and donors. In addition to welcoming all that contact us over phone and in person, this role provides administrative support services to internal stakeholders such as corporate and finance team, management, and others as necessary.

The day-to-day duties of this role primarily involve: reception and switchboard duties, client administration, medical data entry and billing and administration support. 

What will you need to succeed?

  • Minimum 3 years previous working experience in a Receptionist or similar role, preferably in a community services/health services environment
  • Experience in medical software programs or Medicare systems
  • Possess very strong computer skills and fully conversant with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of IT operating systems
  • Ability to effectively manage reception in a youth and family friendly environment, where people may present in a distressed state.
  • Professional telephone etiquette, a 'can do' attitude and a positive & proactive approach
  • Good organisational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people on all levels
  • Ability to work in a team environment effectively

Other requirements:

  • 'C' class driver's licence
  • National Police Clearance (Criminal records check)
  • Working with Children's Check
