Dementia Australia is the new voice of Alzheimer’s Australia, and the peak body representing the interests of people with dementia, their families and carers.
 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled person for the position of Administration Officer in our busy Client Services team in Hawthorn. You will be responsible for the coordination of the administrative functions of our Community Education programs and provide backup administrative support across the department.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Develop, maintain and update a range of databases and spreadsheets to ensure successful administration of program delivery
  • Organisation and coordination of venues for these education programs
  • Organisation and coordination of education material for these programs
  • Developing and maintaining close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • The provision of a full range of administrative support functions for Client Services staff such as data entry and reception relief

     

Key Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  2. A high level of written and oral communication skills including the ability to market the Client Services Community Education Sessions and effectively communicate with staff, volunteers and a range of service users.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work with Microsoft Windows applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Publisher.
  4. Sound knowledge of operating systems and data bases and considerations in their implementation.
  5. Effective organisational skills, including an ability to prioritise workload demands and cope with pressure.
  6. Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as a member of a team, whilst also taking appropriate initiative.
