The Department for Environment and Water is seeking a Team Leader for Animal and Plant Control to be responsible for the day to day management and the performance of the Pest Management Team on Kangaroo Island. The Team includes Pest Management Project and Control Officers who deliver control and eradication projects, landholder and community extension activities and compliance activities under the NRM Act.
The Team Leader plays a key role in the development, implementation, delivery and reporting on pest animal and plant control programs and projects in the region.
Kangaroo Island (KI) is an idyllic combination of spectacular coastline, breathtaking beaches, unspoilt natural wilderness areas and a laidback lifestyle. KI offers excellent health, dental, schools, sporting, sailing and fishing amenities.
Essential Qualifications: A current National Police Clearance certificate is essential, please provide a copy with your application. An appropriate tertiary qualification in natural resource management, environmental science, agricultural science or equivalent is desirable.
