About the role
Reporting to the Business Development Manager - Seeds & Traits, you will drive rapid new product uptake by professional growers and key influencers through a combination of influential relationships, technical guidance and practical demonstration.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop a very high level of current technical expertise in key areas relevant to regional business field of operations
- Develop strong relationships with key influencers
- Collate and feedback product performance information
- Co-ordinate the planning and implementation of the field demonstration program for products as per agreed objectives / timelines with Business Development Manager
- Work with company staff to ensure maximum exposure of extension activities to key decision influencers as a component of overall relationship building and dialogue
- Provide technical training to company staff, key influencers, consultants and agronomists as required in conjunction with Sales and Development staff
- Identify new product development opportunities and actively participate in Project Teams
- Provide input into regional & territory strategic and tactical planning
Education / Experience / Skills
- Excellent knowledge of agriculture industry specific to operating areas
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Canola and OP Wheat agronomy
- Experience in field trial / demonstration design and reporting
- Well-developed organisational and planning skills
- Ability to influence and gain commitment
- Excellent oral, written and listening skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification eg Agriculture Science and Agsafe accreditation
- Ability to communicate / develop a constructive relationship with broader agricultural industry stakeholders
