The Role
We currently have an opportunity for motivated and hardworking Labourers and Slashing (Tractor Operator) within the fields of fire management, sportsfields maintenance, garden maintenance, landscape infrasturture development, slashing and mowing maintenance as well as arboriculture maintennace to come and join our valuable Team at our Mornington Peninsula Shire Contract.
This position is an opportunity for you to gain experience in, and utilise your previous experience in, undertaking maintenance works and asset development activities all of which form part of the Parks and Roadside Contract.
In this position you will:
- Operate small plant and equipment to undertake required works
- Ability to work as a member of a team with sound communication and organisation skills.
- Carry out work with minimal disturbance to the environment and disruption to the community.
- Assist with maintenance of all small plant and equipment
- Ensure all work is carried out in a safe and diligent manner
- Adhere to HSE requirements of the job role
- Be capable of moving within the departments in a similar role capacity
To be considered for this position a Valid Victorian Manual Driver’s License is preferable and a willingness to work as a team member with experience in a similar field
Experience and/or qualifications in the following are desirable:
- Relevant experience in a similar role and industry.
- Medium Rigid Truck License ot tractor driving experience
- Chainsaw Level One
- Level 2 Workplace First Aid
- Road Traffic Control Certification
- Construction Induction Card (White Card/Red Card)
