The role will involve working across all functions of the hatchery including larval rearing, microalgae production, early nursery production, broodstock management, systems maintenance and production planning.
For the right candidate, there is significant scope to grow and take on more senior roles within the company. Domestic travel may be required to support the Company’s interstate ventures and breeding programs.
Candidates with demonstrated experience managing or supervising small technical teams within aquaculture environments will be viewed upon in high regard.
Essential Requirements
- A minimum diploma level qualification in aquaculture/science or equivalent experience;
- Demonstrated experience in aquaculture hatcheries;
- Excellent organisational skills and a demonstrated capacity to work independently;
- Positive and constructive team member with an excellent work ethic;
- Ability to work weekends and take part in an on-call roster;
- Current driver’s license.
