Treen Brook Farm is a 70-hectare avocado orchard with approximately 25,000 young trees. The farm is located in the pristine Southern Forests region, 10km west of Pemberton.
A full-time position is currently available for a farm Operation’s Manager. This position requires an individual who is hard working, motivated, a team player, and interested in developing a career in the avocado industry.
About the role
The main responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to):
- Employee management
- Machinery operation and maintenance
- Fertiliser and chemical application
- Extensive irrigation management
- Workshop maintenance
- Farm record keeping
About you
To be successful in this role the individual will need to demonstrate the following:
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to deliver on set tasks in a timely manner
- An understanding of the horticultural industry
- Prior experience in machinery operation
- Computer skills
