Detail information about job Forensic AOD Assessor RAPIDS. Terms and conditions vacancy

Looking for a meaningful new role?  ACSO is looking for a Forensic AOD Assessor, in our RAPIDS program (Responsive Assessment Planning, Intervention and Diversion Service) to undertake specialist forensic alcohol and other drug assessments focusing on assisting clients in contact with the justice system with their journey of recovery. Success as a Forensic AOD Assessor requires you to positively engage with people presenting with complex substance use and associated social problems and providing them with assessment and bridging services.  If you’re passionate about the right to a second chance, innovative in finding solutions, and driven to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

The Australian Community Support Organisation (ACSO) is a dynamic, values driven NFP, focused on partnering with Government and the community to co-design services that create real social change. We’re an organisation with a bold vision to create a safe and inclusive community freed of crime and prisons. It’s our goal to reduce re-offending and our mission is to help people transition from prison, assist them in the community, stop them from re-offending, and intervene to divert others from committing crime.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • A minimum Certificate IV level qualification in AOD or a related field
  • Prior experience in assessment for clients with substance abuse problems
