About the program
Frontyard Integrated Youth Services is a specialist youth service providing a range of multidisciplinary programs to meet the holistic needs of young people at risk or experiencing homelessness. Frontyard aims to support young people to meet their physical, emotional and social needs and to develop pathways out of homelessness. Frontyard’s integrated services include early intervention, crisis support, health and wellbeing, legal assistance, income support and education, employment and training programs.
About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Youth Development Worker to join the team at Frontyard. You will be involved in Frontyard’s community development and youth participation initiatives and participate in associated networks and the promotion of the service.
This position is being offered on a full-time, fixed-term basis until 31st December 2020.
About you
You will have a Bachelor qualification or higher in community development, social work, youth work or a related discipline and demonstrated experience working with young people who are at risk or experiencing homelessness. You will be experienced in program design and implementation, experience in community development principles, have knowledge of current trends and issues impacting at risk young people and an ability to facilitate group work with young people. You will be an effective communicator with strong administration and time management skills.
