All About Caring is a quality provider of Community Aged Care and Disability Services across New South Wales.
We are currently looking for Support Workers around the Lake Macquarie region for a number of new and existing programs. The roles are to provide support to both male and female clients living in their own homes and in the community. Shifts of varying lengths are available 7 days per week, morning, afternoon, evening and overnight.
Training is provided although any relevant experience in positive behaviour support or high care clinical support would be an advantage.
The Role
As a Support Worker you will visit the client in their home to provide the agreed upon services to enable them to live independently. The specific needs of each client vary, however some of the services might include:
- Transport to access the community and social programs
- Support & supervision for clients who require Positive Behaviour Support and Management including those with high-level intellectual disabilities
- Personal Care assistance including toileting and showering, e.g Bowel Care, Catheter Care and Skin Integrity Checks
- Manual handling, e.g. Hoisting
- Medication administration
- Assistance with nutrition through meal preparation
- Domestic assistance to ensure a clean environment
Essential requirements:
- A genuine desire to provide quality care and enhance the lives of our clients.
- Current drivers licence and insured vehicle.
- Access to the internet for rosters and client reporting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Reliable, responsible attitude towards work and able to commit to regular hours ongoing.
Desirable:
Previous experience providing disability support services will be an asset but not essential as all training will be provided.
