The Northern Family & Domestic Violence Service is the lead provider and access point for the integrated family violence service system in the Northern Metropolitan region The Triage and Response Worker plays a critical role in Family Violence risk assessment, safety planning and engagement of women and children into any supports they need.

This role will be responsible for triaging referrals from police, women presenting to the service directly and from a variety of other services then formulating appropriate functions for individual needs. You will be working in a team working across the Multi-Agency Triage, High Risk and General Triage and Response functions.

About you:

  • We are seeking someone with a strong understanding of the complexity of the family violence and child protection and family violence service systems and the issues involved in providing services our clients.
  • A solid understanding of relevant legislation including the Family Violence Protection Act and Child Youth and Families Act.
  • Have a tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, welfare or a related discipline
  • Capacity to be flexible as part of a rostered Triage and Response Team
  • Great team player with a positive attitude

Three full time positions are currently available however depending on availability of preferred candidates a degree of flexibility may be considered in offering part time contracts.
