About the role
Working for the Disability Employment Services (DES) section of the organisation, we have a current requirement for an Employment Consultant to work at our Bankstown Site. This is a Full Time maximum term contract position to 30 June 2023.
Duties
The role is responsible for gaining and maintaining employment for jobseekers in line with their abilities.
In this challenging and varied role your main focus will be:
Assessing the job seekers readiness for employment including skills and abilities, realistic and relevant employment opportunities and potential;
Sourcing sustainable employment outcomes for job seekers including reverse marketing;
Providing effective support to jobseekers throughout job search activity, training and work experience and other activities;
Supporting and sustaining employment for those candidates that have achieved placement, through regular contact and engagement with the candidate and employer.
