Do you have what it takes to be a Community Mental Health Practitioner with one of Australia’s leading mental health providers? Join our Peer Recovery Community (PRC) team located in Armadale. We provide individualised recovery oriented services in a residential setting where people with mental ill health can learn new skills, be socially included and learn to manage their mental and physical health in a supported environment and with other people who have had similar experiences.
Your new role includes:
- working part time, 30.6 hours per week on a fixed term contract until 30 June 2019
- providing individualised and goal directed support to residents
- providing practical assistance with day to day living, to increase capacity in daily living skills and promote independence
- delivering groups and workshops to residents to engage them in meaningful social activities and increase community engagement
- working closely with families & carers, and external partners such as clinical case managers, AOD workers and other supports
You will have:
- tertiary qualifications (minimum certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health related field as designated by Mind
- previous experience working within a recovery oriented framework
- ability to build strong working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team
