An exciting opportunity has become available to work for Barnardos, one of Australia’s leading children’s charities. A full time, permanent Case Manager is required for our Kinship Care Program, based at Hamilton in the Newcastle region.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Social Work, social science, psychology, education or a related area. Experience in case management in PSP/OOHC, child protection, intensive family support or a related area is preferred.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Kinship Care Case Manager will be responsible for working with a caseload of children and young people in the care of the Minister of Family and Community Services, who live with grandparents, relatives and kin.
Barnardos Kinship Care Case Managers are passionate about supporting children and young people to remain within their family networks so they don't have to move into unrelated foster care placements. We work from a strengths based, trauma informed and child focused perspective.

Pay range $69,859 - $81,247 (includes Base salary, superannuation and leave loading) salary packaging is available including packaging a vehicle after 3 month probation period.
