The Working Communities Network (WCN) is comprised of three highly successful and well-established providers of Disability Employment Services - WCIG, JobCo. and E-Focus. Our offices (31 sites across Melbourne) are all located close to public transport, Centrelink and community services. All sites are equipped with disability access and adaptive technologies. E-focus, founded in 1976, is a community based not-for-profit organisation that delivers a range of services to alleviate disadvantage and to enrich the lives of individuals and local communities. E-focus delivers nationally recognised training, employment assistance and community development projects. DES Staff provide a specialised support service to people who have a permanent disability by assisting participants to attain training and employment in the open labour market.
Position objectives
• Provide participants with individually tailored employment services that are flexible and responsive to their needs with strong links to training and skills development
• Maximise employment opportunities for participants with a disability
• Support and assist participants to acquire skills to become job ready
• Actively work to place participants into employment vacancies
• Reverse Market participants to employers through a variety of methods
• Support Participants in employment with quality post placement support
* Qualification or experience working with clients with mental health issues
* previous experience within DES or JobActive
