The Organisation
Nyamba Buru Yawuru (NBY) means "This is the place of Yawuru". NBY Ltd. manages the day to day business of the Yawuru Native Title Holders and is engaged in a diverse range of projects which help to provide social, cultural, environmental and financial sustainability for the future of Yawuru people.
The Role
This role will require you to:
- Lead the continuous improvement of the Transition to Work (TtW) program
- Conduct and supervise the initial employment readiness assessment with young people and design Job Plans
- Monitor and support young peoples’ development through ongoing career mentoring and work goal exploration identifying emerging issues and barriers to employment along the way
- Provide daily supervision and support to a team of TtW Case Managers
- Complete all administrative, organisational and contract compliance requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working in Employment services or a related service industry
- Ability to work with and support disengaged and ‘at risk’ youth
- Proven aptitude for strong employer engagement including reverse marketing job seekers
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and organisational skills coupled with effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- A genuine, demonstrated commitment to working with young people including ability to motivate and support young people
