Our client, Gateway Family Services (GFS), is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to join their team in the role of Team Leader in their Enrich program.

Your new job…

This role involves leading and supporting a team of highly qualified and experienced professionals in the areas of counselling and family work. The Enrich project works across Penrith and Blue Mountains LGA’s and provides family work in a primarily home visiting model and counselling including Art and Play therapy and generalist parenting from the Katoomba base.  The Enrich project also provides various parenting group programs.

 

The role is Permanent Part Time at 28 hours per week (4 days per week). Salary to be paid in accordance with the NSW SCHADS Award and this role will be classified at Level 6 (Pay Point to be determined based upon skills and experience). The role is based in both the Katoomba and Blaxland offices, however as there may be some travel required for this role, the successful applicant will need to have a current driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

 

 

What you’ll need to succeed…

We are looking for an experienced leader who has a sound knowledge of the community sector. You'll be an outstanding communicator and negotiator with a demonstrated track record of strong representation and networking to achieve strategic goals and maintain service provision.

 

Selection Criteria…

  • Minimum 3- 5 years in a similar role
  • Tertiary qualifications in counselling/social work or related fields
  • Demonstrated capacity and experience working in a Strength based framework AND  Solution focused brief therapy  model
  • Capacity and experience in supervising clinical staff
  • Specific Training in a recognised Solution Focused Brief Therapy course
  • Demonstrated capacity to oversee projects and meet agreed KPI’s
  • Thorough knowledge of current child protection theory and practice
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Word & Outlook
  • Ability to work respectfully with social and cultural diversity
  • Commitment to Social Justice
  • Willingness to work within the GFS service mission, policies & philosophy and the ethos of the Uniting Church of Australia
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence & use of a reliable, comprehensively insured motor vehicle
  • Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with Aboriginal community (desirable)
  • Experience working in not for profit, non-government organisations (desirable)
  • Computer literacy in all Microsoft Office applications (desirable)
