We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced individual to work from our Benalla office as a Career and Job Coach whilst one of our exceptional staff members is on paternity leave.
The position of Career and Job Coach is part of the Job Seeker Engagement and Development Teams and its aim is to place as many jobseekers as possible into employment or education to enable them to maximise their potential. This will be achieved through completing the initial appointment within the Case Management Period for jobseekers, updating job plans, promoting wage subsidies, enhancing the jobseekers strengths to assist them achieve their long term goals of sustainable, ongoing employment and facilitating the 3 week cycle of Self Help Training to assist Jobseekers to prepare for work.
This role is instrumental in determining self-help and training needs. Awareness of the local labour market, local employer's needs and developing relationships with external stakeholders is critical in this role.
The incumbent will have practical experience training groups of people and will play an active role in referring jobseekers to vacancies, validating jobseeker job searching and providing necessary skills for jobseekers to gain employment through the facilitation of group based on site training.
The successful applicant will be employed on a full-time from July 23 to April 19 2019 contract.
