About the Role

Southern Plus is looking for an experienced, reliable and compassionate Support Worker to join our Eastern Suburbs Perth team on a casual basis.

The key functions of the role will involve providing high quality assistance to individuals, families and primary carers to maintain independence and a quality of life whilst living in the community. You will provide clients with a range of care activities relating to personal hygiene, grooming and presentation, general household and environmental maintenance, activities of interest in the home and local community and the maintenance and improvement of general health and well-being. 

To be successful for this role, you will need:

• Willingness and ability to provide care and other support to individuals within their home environment
• Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
• Demonstrated excellence in customer service principles and attention to detail
• Medication administration competency
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
• Certificate IV in Aged Care or equivalent (desirable)
• Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
• Excellent organisational skills, time management and ability to prioritise workload
