About the opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Children’s Counsellor to join us based in East Burwood. The position is 15.2 hours per week (two days per week) with actual work days being negotiable. This is a maximum term role to the end of June 2019, with extension based on funding continuation.
The Children’s Counsellor will be responsible for:
- Completing intake assessments of children ranging between the age of four to primary school age
- Responding to presenting issues in children as referred by Family Services Practitioners, parents and other agencies
- Providing counselling support play therapy to referred children

About you
To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a Masters degree in Counselling, Family Therapy, Play Therapy or related areas.

- Describe your experience in providing Child Centred Play Therapy
