No to Violence (NTV) is the largest peak body for organisations and individuals working with men to end family violence in Australia. For over 25 years we have provided telephone counselling, information and referrals for men who use violence. Our policy advice, role in setting practice standards and our delivery of training and workforce development makes us the “go to” organisation in this field. We are a pro-feminist organisation and we understand the gendered nature of family violence. The safety of women and children is central to what we do, and their voices must be heard. Our aim is to end men’s family violence.

This position is based at our head office in Melbourne CBD.

Position Objective

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a new workforce development program in Victoria.  The program has been initiated in response to recommendations made by the Victorian Royal Commission into Family Violence, and will play a crucial role in improving the capacity for workers to intervene effectively with men who perpetrate family violence. There is currently a shortage of practitioners working with these men in a skilled and innovative way. This program will be pivotal in addressing the shortfall, and in successfully developing and equipping the workforce.  This challenging and exciting role will be key to the success of this program.

The successful applicant will be part of the management team and will collaborate with colleagues within the organisation for the successful delivery of the project. The Project Manager will lead and manage the project team, with authority and responsibility from the Project Sponsor to run the project on a day-to-day basis.  The Project Manager is accountable to the Steering Committee and the Project Board. Apart from the responsibilities required by project methodology, the successful applicant has an important role in managing internal and external stakeholders, including state government, education and family violence sectors amongst others.

Knowledge of family violence is desirable, but is not required for this role.
