TeamHEALTH has become the leading not for profit provider of mental health services in the Top End of the Northern Territory. TeamHEALTH has provided outreach services, support and advocacy for Territorians with mental illness for over 30 years.
The Residential Supports Stream supports people with mental illness into independent living in the Community. The aim is to support recovery, reduce social isolation and improve independent living and employment outcomes. The Residential Supports Stream uses a strengths-based approach, and provides intensive one-to-one support.
Reporting to the Individual Support Manager, the Team Leader provides overall management and leadership of the Residential facilities. The Team Leader will play a key role in supporting and coaching the Coordinators, Mental Health Recovery Workers and Peer Workers within the facilities to deliver recovery focussed, strengths based support and timely, culturally appropriate case management.
This position is a contract up to 9 November 2018.
Possessing qualifications in mental health, community services or a relevant discipline the successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in the management and delivery of strength based case management strategies to people with acute mental illness.
