As a Case Manager you are responsible for plays a significant role in making a difference in domestic and family violence survivors by facilitating and providing practical case management and provide individualised therapeutic support. You will advocate for those who have been affected by domestic violence over the phone and in person so that they can live a empowered lives.
As a successful Case Manager you will be responsible for:
- Provide accurate and timely support regarding their case submission and its progress
- Identify practical options and referrals to legal services
- Assess the case and provide ethical, legal and sufficient information regarding outcome
- Emotional support to the clients
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to provide concise information to the client
- Provide case management via phone and in person
- Manage a caseload standardised by your manager
As a successful Case Manager you will have:
- Current or previous experience working as a case manager within child protection or domestic violence field
- Exceptional communication skills - both verbal and written
- Strong understand in service delivery and legislation relevant to child protection or similar
- Practical experience in performing duties in a professional and ethical manner
- Efficient, organised and proactive in managing your own caseload
- Previous experience in phone counselling as well as face to face case management
As a successful Case Manager you must have:
- A relevant qualification in Human Services, Social Work, Counselling, Criminology or similar
- Practical experience working for a not-for-profit organisation within the child protection realm or similar
- Exceptional interpretation skills of legal documents, court system and other legislative information
- Current working with children blue card
- National Police Check (or willing to)
- Full Driver’s License
