South Division in Scope are looking for fresh and vibrant people to join the team and deliver on our mission, which is to enable each person we support to live as an empowered and equal citizen.

Is this for you?

  • You must be comfortable working with people with a range of disabilities
  • Do you have experience in supporting people in their homes or in the community?
  • Are you warm and friendly, patient and organised, flexible, reliable & a team player?
  • Be able to work in a culturally diverse team
  • Good availability over a number of shifts in a week.  Shifts should include early morning (6-9am), afternoon, evening, some weekend availability, Sleepovers and Active Nights.
  • Applicants need to be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
  • Previous experience as a support worker is desirable but not essential

We are looking for people to work in the following areas:  Hampton, Clayton, Moorabbin, Bentleigh, East Malvern, Glenhuntly.

The Role involves:

  • The people we support vary in their needs, ages and types of disability
  • Manual handling (training required)
  • Creating a pleasant environment for everyone to enjoy.
  • Assisting the people we support with their personal care needs.
  • Domestic/household tasks e.g. Cooking and cleaning

To be considered for one of our Support Worker roles, you must already have the following:

  • Satisfactory National police check for 'Employment in Disability'
  • An international police check if you have lived or worked overseas for longer than one (1) year within the last 10 years
  • Satisfactory Working with Children's Check
  • A current Level 1 First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
  • A current driver's license (highly desirable)

After successfully completing an interview, you MUST be available for 3 days consecutive paid Pre-employment training commencing Monday 13th August 2018 at Glen Waverley.
