About the Service

The Performance and Outcomes Team is responsible for the design, development and implementation of reporting on the Impact and Outcomes of the Society’s work.  The team works with Executive leadership, Program managers, Members and other staff to clearly articulate the purpose of programs and activities, develop indicators that measure performance and alignment to strategy, as well as providing analysis and insight into program effectiveness. The team is responsible for supporting the design and implementation of reporting for programs, services and other activity of the Society.

The Role

The Data and Reporting Lead is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of reporting frameworks, data capture and ongoing analytics; to ensure the effective measurement of performance data and insight into outcomes and impact of the Society.

The key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Supporting the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and outcome measures that enhance the delivery of the Society’s programs, services and activities
  • Strengthen processes around data collection, data integrity and data management for improved data quality and consistency
  • Work with key stakeholders in the design and development of enhanced operational and management reporting and dashboards for the provision of timely information
  • Playing a lead role in increasing internal capabilities in data management and utility of information to support improved program analysis and insight
  • Deliver outcome and performance reporting to business owners – develop a suite of analytics and reporting tools
  • Utilise internal and external data, trend analysis and sector information to develop and present business insights and evaluate market opportunities
  • Take a lead role in improving the capability and competency of business users in understanding, using and analysing their data for informed decision making
  • Participate in processes of strategy creation, monitoring measurement and reporting
  • Progress development of program Business Logics to focus effort on delivering outcomes

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive Experience in data management tools and techniques
  • Excellent computer skills; competence in understanding and using databases with experience using SQL
  • High level of proficiency in MS Excel
  • Strong report development and presentation skills
  • Highly developed analytical thinking – the ability to interpret data/information and create insight from analysis
  • Statistical analysis skills such as model creation
