About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and exceptional professional to coordinate the MyTime groups across NSW for which Learning Links is the lead agency. MyTime is a unique free program providing facilitated peer support for parents, grandparents and others who provide care for children with a disability, developmental delay or chronic medical condition.

Join us to help lead MyTime Group Facilitators around NSW to deliver a quality group support program that meets the needs of the families and local community.

The Coordinator of the MyTime Program will be responsible for the overall coordination and support of groups across the following key areas:

  • Informed and responsive local planning and administration of the MyTime groups which fall within Learning Links’ jurisdiction
  • Working with the facilitators of the MyTime Groups to develop and sustain each group and establish strong links between the group and the broader community
  • Cooperative engagement with other lead agencies
  • Effective, ongoing communication with the National Coordinator about program requirements, processes and strategies to promote ongoing, sustainable benefits for members

This contract position is due to commence in August. The successful applicant will be employed on a contract basis 2 days per week for a total 14 hours. Days and time of work are flexible. Work from any of our offices.

To be successful in this role you will need:

Essential Criteria:

  • Appropriate qualifications in an educational, psychology or social welfare field.
  • Experience in providing programs and relevant supports to families with children with disabilities or chronic medical conditions.
  • Strong skills as a group facilitator.
  • Demonstrated understanding of working with children and families in remote and/or disadvantaged communities and/or diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Experience in the development of training and support strategies for staff and adult learners.
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage projects, prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working with local communities to build professional networks and engage families.
  • Experience in managing accountability and reporting procedures.
  • Ability and willingness to travel intrastate as required.
  • Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis approved training certifications.
  • Current Child Protection Training and
  • WWCC clearance.
