ABOUT THE ROLE
-     Supporting adults with intellectual and physical disabilities within an in-home, respite and/or community setting
-     Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of each client is met to the highest standard
-     Providing day to day care; including but not limited to personal care, PEG feeding/management, assisting with medications, use of hoists
-     Managing challenging behaviours including verbal and physical aggression, property damage and self harm
   
ABOUT YOU
-       Committed and experienced to provide quality, continuity of care
-       Previous experience in Aged Care is highly desirable
-       Reliable and flexible to support day, night and sleepover shifts
-       Tech savvy to support clients who use technology on a daily basis
-       Calm, resilient and able to implement boundaries for own well-being
-       Ability to communicate and work well with others
-       Clinical knowledge/experience of those with, but not limited to Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Diabetes, Down Syndrome, Dementia, Mental Health issues and Autism
   
REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND EXPERTISE 
-        A minimum of 12 months experience as a Disability Support Worker
-        Knowledge and experience of supporting clients with intellectual disabilities and managing challenging behaviours
-        Completion of MAYBO training would be beneficial
 -       Current First Aid (dated within the last 3 years)
-        Current CPR certificate (dated within the last 12 months) 
-        Manual Handling certificate (dated within the last 12 months)
-        Current Positive Notice Yellow card
-        Current Open Drivers Licence, a Car & Comprehensive Insurance
-        Smart phone in order to access our HCA app
-        Available for approximately 20 hours a week
-        Evidence of the ability to work in Australia
