Southern Cross Care (Qld) Inc is a rapidly growing and developing, highly respected not-for-profit organisation, which provides Residential Aged Care, Community Care and Retirement Living services across Queensland.
We have an exciting opportunities to join our Community Services Team at Gold Coast as a Support Worker, assisting clients who live at home. This is a Casual position with variety of shifts across a 14 day roster, we have multiple roles.
As a Support Worker, you will work closely with our Care Coordinators and within a Customer Directed Care (CDC) environment to provide care that is focused on individual needs and that is aligned with our mission statement, “To value and respect human life”.
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Certificate III in Disability, Aged Care, Home and Community Care or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience working in the Community Service Sector
- A current QLD Drivers Licence
- A Current Police Check and Criminal History Screen
- Senior First Aid Certificate and CRP Certificate (desirable)
- Exceptional people and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and to manage your time effectively
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills
- Own Car to use for work. Full comprehensive car insurance and current car registration - Must be able to provide documents
