Lifestyle Club Support Worker
Southern Districts Support is not-for-profit organisation, providing a broad range of services to seniors, people with a disability and their carers who wish to remain living independently at home.
We are seeking a caring, experienced Support Worker with at least two years' experience to join our team in our Lifestyle Club providing supports for people with a range needs in a centre based setting. This is a permanent part time position, based in Armadale.
You must be available:
- Tuesdays 8.30am - 4.00pm
- Fridays 8.30am - 4.00pm
- Relief for sickness and holidays
The role is responsible for:
- Providing transport to and from the centre in vehicles provided by Southern Districts Support
- Assisting the Lifestyle Club Coordinator in designing quality activities and programmes that follow industry best practice, are inclusive, meet a broad range of individual choices and emphasise individual focused service and outcomes
- Implementing activities on a daily basis ensuring participation by clients, and providing relevant feedback
- Assisting clients with activities of daily living as required
- Completion of documentation as required
We are looking for someone who has the following:
- Drive and enthusiasm to provide outstanding supports in a centre based setting
- Certificate III in Aged Care and at least two years' experience in a similar centre based setting
- Current First Aid certificate (or willing to obtain one)
- A valid full (non provisional) driving licence
- A National Police Certificate no older than 6 months (or be willing to obtain one)
