Two exciting Part Time roles within the Public Service, Director - Performance and Reporting and Director - Workforce Analytics and Systems.  Both are integral to the service provision to the wider NSW Public Sector.

Director, Workforce Analytics & Systems ($187,000 up to $208,943)

Director, Performance & Reporting ($192,110 up to $214,053)

About the Public Service Commission


The Public Service Commission (PSC) is a diverse and dynamic central agency of the NSW public sector, committed to developing a highly capable public sector workforce characterised by a culture of integrity, trust, service and accountability. 

 

The PSC leads the design, development and implementation of whole-of-sector workforce management strategies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the NSW public sector workforce.  Having delivered transformational change over the last five years, the PSC continues to have an ambitious strategic agenda. 

 

Headed by an independent Public Service Commissioner, the PSC is a separate agency under the Government Sector Employment Act 2013 (GSE Act) that supports the Commissioner in the exercise of functions and powers.
 
About the roles


The Director roles report to the Assistant Commissioner, Performance and Analytics and support to separate but related functional areas of Workforce Analytics & Systems and Performance & Reporting.

 

The Director, Performance and Reporting leads a team of approximately 15 FTE in the development and delivery of the Annual State of the Public Sector Report (SOPSR), the Annual People Matter Survey (PMS), the Annual Premier?s Awards and other Board-initiated research projects. The purpose of this role is to provide stakeholders and agencies with accurate and relevant information and insights about the current state, characteristics, issues and future policy options in a range of workforce management areas. The Director, Workforce Analytics and Systems may lead a team of approximately 35 FTE at any given time depending on the mix of priority projects across interdependent areas to inform and guide sector-wide and agency-level workforce policy and strategy such as the Premier?s Priority on Workforce Diversity. The role is also central in shaping the Workforce Analytics Community of practice, ensuring the data privacy relating to employees across the sector, leading the iworkforNSW user experience uplift and the use of GEN analytics and mobility across the sector. What we are looking for?


You will possess strong people management skills with an ability to lead an engaged and high-functioning team responsible for designing and then implementing evidence-based strategies and systems to support workforce management. 

 

Exemplary communication skills, a proven ability to negotiate and influence with a diverse stakeholder base are essential.

 

You will have experience in engaging stakeholders; be able to anticipate, identify and then address challenges or risks as they arise in a professional and credible manner.
